Avalon Baptist Church is one of more than 240 Baptist Churches in New Zealand.  As a local church Avalon Baptist is autonomous which enables members to be totally involved in all major decisions which affect the church life, including the calling of pastors and the appointment of church leaders.

Our church is led by our Pastor, together with our eldership and core ministry leaders.  Core area leaders provide leadership and coordination for activities and operations of the church such as: Children's Church, Fellowship, Missions, Worship, and Finance and Administration / Property.  Each team leader leads a group of people interested in their particular field.  Life group leaders are responsible for leading our small groups and for providing pastoral care to group members.

Members and regular attendees are encouraged to participate in, and contribute to, the mosaic of church life.

Membership is available to those who are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and have been baptised by full immersion.
